dc.description.abstractThis paper proposes a comparison of 2-phase permanent magnet (PM) machines with different stator configurations equipped with phase-group concentrated-coil windings. Due to adopting an unaligned dual-stator topology, phase-group concentrated-coil windings as well as an spoke-type magnet array, the proposed 2-phase PM machines achieves higher torque density and high efficiency than the conventional 2-phase PM machines. By using finite element method, the performance of two 2-phase PM machines conformed to the similar design concept is compared, and hence verifying the validity of the machine design.-
