dc.description.abstract | Programming and coding has become essential skill for designers and artists today. Until recently, artists are forced to use special programming tools such as Procsssing, Max/MSP or Scratch but rapid development and 'programming for everyone' movement has changed the whole eco-system that surrounds programming. This paper examined three distinct characteristic of current changes in programming environments; popularization of programming educational resources, cloud programming environments and open source movement and availability of applied libraries. Like everyone else, artists and designers could benefit from this new programming eco-system, enhance their production. Further studies about applying new system to artists are also required. | - |
