Abstract
In this study, differences in peak torque per body weight, average power per body weight and fatigue index of shoulder joint(left and right), elbow joint, and wrist joint were compared and analyzed by using a device for isokinetic measurements(5 times at a speed of 60°/sec and 25 times at a speed of 240°/sec). Total 20 right-handed players were measured: 10 elite players from business team who have more than 10 years of experience as a Kumdo player (winners of individual/team competitions at the national championship within a year) and 10 non-elite players (who have more than 10 years of experience as a Kumdo player and have never won any championship within 3 years). The results were as follows. 1. Measurement of peak torque per body weight, average power per body weight and fatigue index of shoulder joint that there is significant difference(p<.05) in extensor and flexor muscle strengths of elite players and non-elite players. 2. Measurement of peak torque per body weight, average power per body weight and fatigue index of elbow joint that there is no significant difference(p>.05) in extensor and flexor muscle strengths of elite players and non-elite players. 3. Measurement of peak torque per body weight, average power per body weight and fatigue index of wrist joint that there is significant difference(p<.05) in flexor muscle strength(p<.05) while no difference in extensor muscle strength of elite players and non-elite players(p>.05).
