dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the topology and characteristic analysis for an axial-flux permanent magnet vernier machine which has high torque feature at low speed for direct-drive systems. In the proposed machine, spoke array magnet is adopted to obtain the closed flux line by connecting the rotor and the double stators as an entire loop. Axial-flux double stator permanent magnet vernier machine is an alternative of the high performance vernier machine, moreover, the transient characteristics of the proposed machine are simulated using 3D finite element method.-
