dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a tooth optimum design for a double-excitation spoke-array permanent magnet vernier machine, which has high torque feature at low speed for direct-drive systems. Since this kind of open slot tooth has flux modulation effect in vernier machine, the design of tooth or slot seems important for the machine better performance. The magnet flux-focusing design in the proposed machine has resulted in a high torque density, moreover, the tooth optimal design will obtain a further improvement.-
