dc.description.abstractThis paper proposes lane departure warning system(LDWS) based on effective lane detection algorithm in a particular region of interest(ROI) of driving road images. The proposed lane detection algorithm determines whether there are traffic lanes in the scanned sub-block images of road. The lane departure warning system gives alarming signal when the car leaves the detected-lane window which is created by using the center line of lane based on vanishing point. Experimental studies using blackbox images show the validity and the effectiveness of the proposed method.-
