dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a novel two-phase, two-pole, permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with dual U-core stator structure for torque pulsation minimization is studied. Performances such as back-EMF, cogging torque, and electromagnetic torque are analyzed by using 3-D Finite Element Method (FEM). In addition, the inductance of stator winding is considered by equivalent magnetic circuit method (EMCM), in order to build the mathematical model for operation. In addition, the initial position of rotor and airgap selection for the novel two-phase PMSM are also considered to focus on starting ability and structure optimization comparing with the conventional U-core single-phase PMSM. | - |
