This study examines how collaborative work between learners can help the L2 learner in the ZPD, the range of activities which the learner can do, by only with assistance. This study shows that pair work results in creative interaction where learners share their strengths through scaffoding. Jwun, the more advanced learner, guides and supports Min's utterances by providing recasts and needed vocabulary through interaction with him. Min is also able to construct a scaffold for Jwun by requesting clarification and by repeating Jwun's utterances, which leads Jwun to reflect upon those utterances. Through such a process of scaffolding, both learners pick up some vocabulary items adn refine their utterances.-
