The purpose of this study was to develop an assessment tool for analysis on squash game techniques with which training methods and game strategies can be established, based on specific data on strengths and weaknesses of each technical characteristic of athletes. The following conclusion was obtained. First, among 724 initially deduced questions from an expert group, a total of 129 questions for 7 technical valuation measures were selected for the final form of questionnaire by excluding 4 questions including, 2 drop questions and 2 drive questions among 133 subsidiary assessment items of 7 technical valuation measures. Removal of inappropriate questions was done by going through primary preliminary investigation, secondary actual investigation based on common reliability of normal athletes, and tertiary measure refining process. Second, actions and techniques during squash games were given a grade by classifying into five steps. Points of grades were selected as four points for Ace, three points for Strong, two points for Normal, one point for Weak and zero point for Error. Third, as basic motions of squash athletes that are divided into actions and motion techniques during games, 7 technical valuation measures including service, drive, volley, drop, lob, boast and reserve angle were selected by excluding volley boast, a technique for which the frequence of use was about once or twice a game. Overall reliability was extremely high at 0.939. Fourth, in order to adjust to the speed of technical actions during games, game analyst was allowed to use abbreviations such as S (service), D (drive), V (volley), P (drop), L (lob), B (boast), and R (reverse angle) and record 7 techniques in the forms of score-technique-grade. For example, the suggested recording method was to write down '1-S-0' if an athlete performed a service that goes out of the court when he or she has one point.-
