IPTV(Internet protocol Television)리모트 컨트롤러 사용성에 있어 발생하는 문제점에 대한 탐색적 고찰

Abstract

최근 초고속 인터넷망을 이용한 양방향 텔레비전 서비스인 IPTV(Internet Protocol Television)의 시장이 크게 성장함에 따라 이를 이용한 컨텐츠와 부가서비스가 제공됨으로써 그 영역이 급속히 확대 되어 지고 있다. 이와 같은 서비스의 확대로 많은 기능과 복잡해진 메뉴를 제어하기 위한 IPTV리모컨의 사용성은 매우 중요하다. 또한 스마트 TV시장이 이슈가 되면서 인터넷 TV시장의 경쟁력을 갖추기 위해서는 IPTV환경의 변화를 고려해야 된다. 하지만 현재 IPTV리모컨은 그 역할을 다하지 못하는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제공되는 다양한 미디어 서비스를 하나의 리모트 컨트롤러로 보다 편리하고 효율적으로 조작할 수 있도록 하기위해 기존 IPTV 리모컨의 사용성에 대한 중요요인과 문제점을 찾아 사용자들이 어떠한 요인들에 불편함을 가지고 있는지를 규명하는 것에 초점을 두었다. 이에 따라 FGI분석을 통해 기존 IPTV 리모컨의 중요요인조사와 소비자 인식조사를 실시하여 중요요인에 따른 문제점을 분석하였다.

Recently, the market for IPTV(Internet Protocol Television), an interactive TV service, using broadband internet service has significantly grown. As a result, the content and the value-added services have been provided by them and its territory is being rapidly expanded. Due to the expansion of these services, the usability of IPTV remote control that can control many features and complex menus becomes very important. Also, the change of the IPTV environment should not be overlooked so that the Internet TV market can become more competitive as Smart TV market become issues. However, IPTV remote control does little for that. Thus, This study has been focused on clarifying of which factors cause inconvenience to the users by finding the usability and problems of the existing IPTV remote controllers, to operate a variety of the provided media service with one remote controller in more convenient and efficient way. With research of the major factors and consumers’ recognition through the FGI analysis, the problems for the major factors has been analyzed.
