Abstract
The purpose of this study is to define the effect of Community Attachment on local resident’s perceptions for mega-sports event. For the purpose, the study selected the residents of Daegu City, which is the area holding 2011 World Championships in Athletics, as populations, collected 586 questionnaires through convenience sampling method and used 556 questionnaires for actual analysis. For the analysis on collected data, exploratory factory analysis, reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed with SPSS 15.0 program. Following results were drawn. First, continuity, place and dependance factors gave positive effects on ‘positive economic effect’, identity and dependance factors on ‘positive physical environment’, continuity, identity and place factors on ‘positive image improvement’, and continuity, identity, place and dependance factors on ‘positive advertisement effect’. Second, While continuity and identity factors gave negative effects on ‘negative social culture effect’, and ‘negative economic effect’, dependance factor gave a positive effect on ‘negative economic effect’. Third, continuity, identity and place factors gave positive effects on ‘cooperation will’.
