LED 기술 응용을 통한 자동차 램프 디자인 연구

Abstract

오늘날 자동차 램프디자인은 야간에 빛을 비추는 기본적인 등화기능 외에도, 전자제어기술의 혁신적인 발달로 신기술을 적용하여 다양한 디자인을 강조하는 방향으로 꾸준히 발전하고 있다. 따라서 신광원의 등장과 다양한 조명 기술로 강한 캐릭터를 강조하거나 조형성을 부각시킨 자동차 램프디자인들이 최근 주류를 이루고 있다. 본 연구는 최근에 나타나는 LED 신기술을 응용한 자동차 램프 디자인의 경향 및 다양한 라이팅 기법 사례들을 비교 분석하고, 이러한 기법사례들을 이용하여 새로운 라이팅 조형을 구현하기 위한 자동차 램프 디자인의 컨셉 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 램프 광원의 경향에서부터 시작하여 램프의 특징과 구조를 파악 LED를 이용한 자동차 헤드램프와 리어콤비 램프의 다양한 사례를 분석, 이에 활용된 조명 신기술과 신소재 특징을 응용한 자동차 램프 디자인의 샘플과 함께 컨셉 비전을 제시하였다. 자동차 램프에 LED, OLED를 적용하는 사례가 늘면서 자동차 램프 디자인의 자유도가 커진 현 시점에 본 연구는 신기술을 응용하여 새로운 조형 요소를 찾아 컨셉으로 발전시키는 대안을 제시하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

Recently vehicle lamp design has developed steadily from basic design for simply functional lighting at night into various design applying innovative technology through revolutionized developments of electronic control technology. Therefore emergence of new lighting sources,current mainstream is changing towards emphasizing strong character or shape in vehicle lamp design. This study is to suggest new direction of vehicle lamp design trend and concept in the near future through studying diverse cases applying LED technology to vehicle lamp design. This study begin by inspecting of light sources and understanding lamp structure, and analyzed various cases applying LED technology to headlights and taillights. Therefore, sample of designed car lamps, applied new lighting technology and new materials, and concept vision are proposed. Flexibility of car design is increased by appying LED and OLED on vehicle lamps. This study is significant in the way that it shows concept through finding new shape by applying new technology.
