dc.description.abstractAs the problems of environmental pollution and energy depletion become more severe, strict emissions regulations have been adopted in many countries. The use of bio-diesel fuel is a common solution to these problems because they have many advantages. In this paper, we investigated the effect of the mixing rate of bio-diesel and diesel fuel on the fuel quantity, combustion characteristics and emission characteristics in four cylinder CRDI diesel engine. As result of fuel quantity measurement, Bio-diesel injection quantity is a little bit different compared to diesel fuel. Most of BSFC value is same at the condition of NEDC 12mode. But, NOx emission is increased. Mixing rate of bio-diesel and diesel fuel that is lower CO₂ and PM emissions than diesel fuel.-
