dc.description.abstractThe hybrid composite joint structures for the low floor bus are subjected to bending loads. The hybrid composite joint specimen sectioned in the real low floor bus body was fabricated for the static and cyclic bending test. Static bending load caused large deformation of stiffened plate and rivet-joint fracture between underframe and composite skin, while cyclic bending load brought about the fracture of the welded joint. Delamination along the interface between composite skin and honeycomb core layers occurred for both the static and cyclic bending cases. Fracture characteristics obtained by the bending fatigue tests were reflected for improving the hybrid joint structure in the real low floor bus body.-
