The Air Force temporarily stores its domestic and imported military supplies in one central depot after purchasing them from many suppliers. Then it tries to efficiently distribute the needed supplies from its central depot to air bases. In addition to such strategy, the Air Force also has an optional strategy of minimizing damages at its central depot due to enemy attacks. This optional strategy provides for two extra depots as supplementary distribution centers to maintain a proper supply system even in such emergency situations. During normal periods, such role is insignificant, however, from the perspective of the entire supply system. The manner of better utilizing these supplementary depots is still under consideration and in the development stage. This study focused on utilizing these two supplementary distribution centers to devise a more flexible supply distribution system for the Air Force and optimally assign air cargos and their paths so as to minimize the total distance.-
