dc.description.abstract | The efficient use of energy is becoming a social issue due to resources depletion and increase of energy cost. As a result of this change, many kinds of energy management systems which are based on ubiquitous networks are being proposed in the field of building, home and factory automation. Beyond among these specific fields, lighting is a common part, from which significant amount of energy would be saved. However, network dependency of controllers put an obstacle on the way of technological spread. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the network independent IEEE 1451 based Smart Light Control Module (SLCM), and show how it can be realized into a practical device. | - |
