| dc.description.abstract | Inference on the present data will be more reliable when the data arisingfrom previous similar studies are available. The data arising from previousstudies are referred as historical data. The power prior is dened by thelikelihood function based on the historical data to the powera0, where 0a0 1. The power prior is a useful informative prior for Bayesian inferencesuch as model selection and model comparison. We utilize the historicaldata to perform multiple comparison in the one-way ANOVA model. Wedemonstrate our results with some simulated datasets under a simple orderrestriction between the treatments. | - |
