- Abstract
- Recently, the demand for home networking
systems is gradually increasing. But yet most vendors use
their own protocols. KNX/EIB (Konnex / European Installation
Bus) is a standard protocol approved as a European
(CENELEC EN 50090 . CEN EN 13321-1) and a world-wide
standard (ISO/IEC 14543). In this study, we developed
KNX/EIB based on/off and dimming control devices. By
using these devices, a lighting control system is configured.
The result of the system shows the feasibility of adapting
KNX/EIB to home automation systems. The developing
attempt, which is based on the standard protocol for the
home automation devices, might have a motivating effect to
the domestic home network market.
