This study has examined the postural workload and subjective workload of 50 auto-mechanics from 25 first-level car service stations in Seoul area. Correlations between postural workloads tested by OWAS, RULA, REBA and subjective workload were investigated. Physiological workload was also measured from 16 auto-mechanics. In results, 87.5% of subjects was found to be categorized as "corrective measures required in the near future" in OWAS, 56.3% was "investigate and change immediately" that was action level 4 out of 4 in RULA, 37.5% was "necessary soon" that was action level 3 and 56.3% was "necessary" that was action level 2 in REBA. The subjective workload was estimated by using a free module magnitude estimation method. In result, the engine overhaul task scored 8.5, the highest, and the tire change and realignment scored 3.1, the lowest. The tasks with long work duration tended to have a higher subjective workload. In summary, REBA showed the highest correlation between the subjective workload and the physiological workload.-
