The multi-sensory stimulation is an essential method of making healing environment for older people with dementia. The purpose of this study is to identify architectural design issues which can improve healing quality of environment through multi-sensory stimulation. This study evaluates four types of multi-sensory stimulation(visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile) and the effects on residents' reaction through the care staff interview using questionnaire as well as the direct observation of residents. The results indicate that visual stimulation is the most significant factor and the olfactory stimulation is the least influential factor on quality of living for residents with dementia. The floor plan of one-side-opened corridor type opened semi-private lounge space and quality outside view is the most effective on improving quality of healing environment in this study.-
