| dc.description.abstract | 도고는 청년시절 도쿄로 가서 유신 삼걸의 하나인 사츠마 출신의 오쿠보 도시미치를 방문하여 "철도에 대해 공부하고 싶으니 외국유학을 보내 달라"고 부탁한 적이 있었다. 이 부탁이 뜻대로 되지 않자, 이번에는 같은 사츠마출신의 사이고다카모리를 찾아갔다. 이 때 사이고는 도고에게 철도 대신 해군에 대해 공부할 것을 권유한다. 이것이 계기가 되어 러일 해진의 영웅 도고가 탄생한 것이다. | - |
