Abstract
A new stereo vision system for indoor mobile robots has been developed which includes quick and accurate feature point detection and matching algorithms. Feature points are found from video image. Vertical edge used for efficient minimum cost matching to measure distances to the objects. USB cameras are used to implement simple and low-priced systems and DirectShow SDK is used for quick image transfer. Our vision system is able to process 14 frames per a second.
