- Abstract
- This study intends to grasp the property by comparing and analyzing grades of variant form: 『Shuo-Wen』, 『Yu-Pian』, 『KangXi ZiDian』. Additionally, It aims to formulate the attribution of each grades, and pursue their transformations with the change of the times. These data show us various cases. The shape of a character had been kept same grade regardless of the era. On the other hand, the shape turned into different grade. What is the differences of variant forms in the Chinese dictionary, and what is the connections? Is the transform closely connected with the era? As a result of this study, variant forms in 『Shuo-Wen』 had been preserved. But The change was occurred in 『Yu-Pian』 Sung dynasty through Tang dynasty, and 『KangXi ZiDian』 Qing dynasty was edited by arrangement the classificatory property of variant form in the Chinese dictionary as it is.
