Investigation of permanent magnet vernier machine (PMVM) with consequent pole structure was presented in this paper. The main focus of the paper was to determine the effectiveness of the vernier effect in consequent pole machines. To determine the effectiveness, back-EMF, torque, and power factor of four models were analyzed and compared for discussion. It was found that the consequent pole reduces vernier effect.-
