dc.description.abstractThis study compared recently developed domestic electrochromic glazing with the double glazing and shading devices commercialized for office buildings in Korea for load reduction performance evaluation. This study proposed a hypothesis that the load reduction performance of electrochromic glazing with variable solar control and high solar radiation rejection would be higher than that of existing double glazing products and shading devices and analyzed the cooling and heating load of different types of double glazing. Bleached electrochromic glazing exhibited low transmittance compared to colored glass double glazing, low-e double glazing, and double glazing with a shading device. Colored electrochromic glazing provided higher solar radiation rejection compared to colored glass double glazing and low-e double glazing. Hence, it was effective for cooling load reduction.-
