dc.description.abstract | Precipitation is a basic element of the hydrological cycle. Change in precipitation and its intensity might be a cause of natural disasters (floods and droughts). This study analyzed the variation of annual, seasonal, and extreme precipitation in Nakdong River basin, Korea, using an innovative trend analysis (ITA). After dividing precipitations into several categories to investigate the flood and drought, summer and autumn season were found more sensitive to floods in the north, whereas droughts in south-west part of the basin. The results of study would be useful for coping the floods and droughts in the basin. | - |
