dc.description.abstract | The Permanent Magnet (PM) assisted effects of wound field synchronous machines with a single flux barrier are investigated from finite-element analyses. It is clearly the single flux barrier of each pole can decrease the Xq and make the unbalance magnetic flux density of the two steel pieces. The inserting additional permanent magnet have the effect of reducing the magnetic saturation in the rotor pole and as well as increasing the direct flux linkage of armature winding. And the total iron loss per output power is decreased. The characteristic improvements were evaluated by 2D-finite element. | - |
