Abstract
High-resolution cell patterning technology is a versatile tool for studying tissue engineering and in vitro pre -clinical research, but simple methods that can be implemented easily are lacking. Here, we demonstrate a simple electrochemical approach for arranging cells into various patterns, enabling rapid and accurate localization for cell array formation. A voltage pulse is applied directly to the pre-patterned conducting substrate, causing cellular damage and rapidly forming live/dead cell arrays. The array platform, which focuses on assay minia-turization, is applicable to cell-based drug screening as well as high-content cell culture experiments.
