- Abstract
- In this paper, a new method to design switching matrix based on eigen structure assignment by state feedback is proposed for sliding mode control. Most conventional methods require special form like canonical or regular canonical form of system matrices. But the proposed method can be applied to arbitrary system matrices without any transformation. Furthermore, the switching matrix, can be decided for the matrix multiplication, to have a designated form. To show the validity of the method, it is applied to the control of multi input systems with matched uncertainty. The controller is designed to decrease the effect of switched input component which causes chattering. © Research India Publications.
