Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of core stability training on alignment and strength improvement of lumbar. A total of 19 chronic low back patients (male : 9 and female : 10) participated in the purposive sampling study. We measured alignment of lumbar region (lumbar lordosis angle, lumbosacral angle, sacral angle), and isokinetic muscular functional test of the lumbar included flexors and extensors for 6 weeks in accordance with core stabilization exercise. The core stabilization exercise were constructed using the prop and sling exercise for the purpose of improving spinal alignment and strength. Statistical analysis of the study was calculated for each variable the mean and standard deviation and two-way repeated measure ANOVA was performed to test the difference of the respective variables. Statistical significance level was set at .05. The results are as following. After exercise than before exercise for the spine aligned male and female both lumbar lordosis sacral angle was increased lumbosacral angle is decreased, sacral angle was similar to the shape of normal curvature appears to increase. In the lumbar angular velocity of 60 ° / sec and 90 ° / sec even at maximum strength and muscle strength changes in the relative strength of flexors and extensors showed an increase in muscle after exercise. When viewed from the above results, apply for core stabilization exercises for sedentary workers who complained of lumbar pain that could identify giving a positive effect on functional improvement brought an improvement in muscle strength and spine angle.
