- Abstract
- 본 논문은 우리나라 제조업 사업체-품목자료를 이용하여 관세인하가 사업체의 생산품목수, 품목당생산액, 규모(scale) 등에 미치는 사업체 규모별 차별적 영향을 분석한다. 분석결과, 관세인하의 부정적 효과가 사업체 규모가 작을수록 크다는 통념은 본 논문의 실증분석결과에 의해 지지되지 않는다. 오히려 관세인하로 인하여 중소사업체보다는 오히려 대규모 사업체의 생산품목수가 뚜렷이 감소하고 규모도 감소하는 경향이 있음이 발견된다. 이러한 결과가 관찰된 한 가지 이유는 중소사업체들의 상당수가 대규모 사업체에 비해 상대적으로 수입경쟁으로부터 격리(insulate)되어 있기 때문일 수 있다.
