Abstract
The optimum modulation scheme for single-band wireless telemetry which is utilised in high-density biomedical implants is discussed. Hand-wound induction coils are used for a single-band inductive link, and an equivalent circuit of the link is modelled by adopting an impedance analyser to characterise the link features. Additionally, an optimum modulation scheme is found to maximise the power transfer efficiency over a single band by simulating the single-band inductive link, this being demonstrated on a bench top.
