- Abstract
- 정의에 따르면 하나의 형태소는 이형태들을 구성원으로 하는 범주이다. 한국어는 그 교착적 성격으로 인해 하나의 형태소가 환경에 따라 다양한 이형태로 교체하는 경우가 많다. 형태소라는 범주를 구성하는 구성원들인 이형태들의 관계도 꽤나 다양하다. 그런데 형태소들의 통시적 변천 과정에서 이형태들 간의 원형성 차이 및 가족닮음 관계를 상정하지 않고서는 설명하기 어려운 현상들이 발견된다. 이는 형태소가 이형태라는 표본(exemplar)으로 구성된 원형범주임을 암시한다.
