Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examen the effects of 12weeks of elastic-band training, and treadmill training on daily living activity and gait pattern in hemiplegic stroke patients, This study included chronic hemiplegic patients consisted of elastic–band(n=12) and treadmill training group(n=12) and was preformed for 50 minuets each session 3 times a week for 12 weeks. The results of this study showed that mutual effects of groups and periods showed significance in gait pattern and daily living activity. 12weeks of elastic-band training and treadmill training showed positive effect on gait pattern and daily living activity. Especially, Elastic-band training were more effective then treadmill training. But, treadmill training were more specific on 10m walking speed and 6minute. Therefor ,combined treadmill training and resistance exercise(elastic-band) would be more effective in treating hemiplegic stroke patients.
