Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of sport motivation to job satisfaction and life satisfaction according to performance level among KLPGA players. One hundred two KLPGA golfers participated in this study and were sampled from the 2012 KLPGA tour seed. The participants were surveyed and assigned either high level or low level's group. Sport motivation consisting three sub-scale based on Vallerand(1992)'s scale and Job Satisfaction consisting three sub-scale based on Kahn(1981)'s scale and Life Satisfaction consisting five sub-scale based on Diner et al.(1985)'s scale were used. Data was analyzed with SPSS PC win 17.0 Version and cronbach's α coefficient was calculated for measuring internal consistency reliability. Independent t-test was conducted to examine the difference of two groups and multiple regression analysis was also conducted to analyze the relationship of sport participation motivation to job satisfaction and life satisfaction. Results were as follows; First, there were statistically significant differences on intrinsic motivation and life satisfaction. Second, there were sport participation motivation revealed that motiveless and extrinsic motivation were positively correlated with job satisfaction and life satisfaction and internal motivation was negatively correlated with job satisfaction and life satisfaction on both groups. The study concluded that female professional golfers needed internal motivation to increase life satisfaction.
