Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare the isokinetic strength of knee joint and kinetics variables (center of pressure, peak vertical torque, leg stiffness) with or without patellofemoral pain syndrome patients in adult women. Twenty-eight adult women into groups with or without of patellofemoral pain, using the isokinetic maximum strength of the knee joint, and the center of pressure, peak vertical force, and leg stiffness at the time of drop landing. The isokinetic maximal strength of the knee joint was statistically significant in extensor and flexor strength of the patellofemoral pain group compared to the normal group and showed a weakening tendency. In the kinetic variables, statistical significance was found in the difference of the anteroposterior center of pressure of the patellofemoral pain group compared to the normal group. However, the mediolateral center of pressure, the peak vertical force, and the leg stiffness showed greater impact force than those of the patellofemoral pain group, indicating that the ability to perform a sTable postural control mechanism tended to decrease.
