Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the association of Balance, obesity, blood pressure, and fasting glucose among female elderly people in south Korea. A total of 59 female elderly subjects participated in the cross-sectional study. We measured body mass index(BMI), fitness(balance levels), fasting glucose, systolic blood pressure(SBP), diastolic blood pressure(DBP). SPSS/PC + version 24.0 statistical software was used for this study. The results showed that subjects with high balance level group had significantly decreased SBP than subjects with low balance level group after adjusted age. When subjects were divided into four groups according to balance levels and BMI levels, subjects with high BMI and low balance had significantly increased SBP than those with low BMI and high balance after adjusted age. In conclusion, Balance and BMI are strongly associated with blood pressure in female elderly people in south Korea.
