대학신입생들이 교양체육수업에서 인식한 교수자의 사회적지지 행동이 자기효능감에 미치는 영향

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of social supportive behaviors defined as autonomy, competence and relatedness support provided by physical educators on self-efficacy among university freshmen in physical education classes. 309 students took part in university physical education classes for one semester and completed two well-validated questionnaires. A multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the relationships between three social supportive behaviors and students' self-efficacy. The results of this study indicated competence support significantly influenced students' self-efficacy during their physical education classes. The findings imply that competence supportive behaviors such as effective feedback, praise, and encouragement provided by teachers can promote students' self-efficacy to draw confidence and efficiency on their performance, which in turn leads to enhanced performances during their physical education classes.
