- Abstract
- Currently, the scarcity of safe water is the top concern with the rise in global population and exploitation of water resources. Sensitive and selective evaluation of chemical contaminations is a crucial step for water remediation. Nanocarbonbased sensors have emerged as significant potentials for the detection and monitoring of toxins, microbes, heavy metal ions, inorganic and organic pollutants in water, with the expectations that they can play a significant role in the development of next generation water remediation techniques and devices. To support the sustainable concern for developments of water remediation technologies, nanocarbons from greener route are evaluated by all relevant aspects. These sustainable nanocarbons are gradually moving out from the experimental side to practical regime and emphasis on the detection and discrimination of chemical pollutant in water system. © 2018 Scrivener Publishing LLC.
