Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of muscular asymmetry of major joints on spine deformity in collegiate soccer players and to provide basic data prevent functional and chronic sports injuries and to supplement in the future. For this study, 24 male soccer players were divided into two groups based on injury experience and therapeutic period. For evaluating isokinetic muscular functional of the group, the knee joints were evaluated for extensor and flexor strength of 60 °/sec and 240 °/sec. Also, the ankle joints were evaluated at 30 °/sec and 120 °/sec plantarflexor and dorsiflexor strength. The results were analyzed to measure the angle difference of the asymmetry of the spine. The conclusions based on the results of this study are as follows. In the isokinetic muscular functional evaluation, there was a statistically significant difference between the knee peak torque extensor strength of the right of angular velocity of 240 °/sec for the angular velocity of 60 °/sec. There was no difference in muscular strength ratio. There was no statistical significance in peak torque strength of the ankle joint, strength ratio to the angular velocity of 30 °/sec and 120 °/sec. There was no statistical difference in the slope of the pelvis in the spinal structure analysis, however statistical significance was found in scoliosis among the angle factors of the spine.
