Abstract
This study aims to visualize and analyze a large amount of meteorological data in order to investigate precipitation and cloud properties for the Korean Peninsula. The study examines the distribution of extreme precipitation by obtaining the extreme precipitation value for each automatic weather system (AWS) point and representing rainfall distribution for the date of extreme precipitation in contours in a 5-mm unit using Voxler. To estimate the maximum diameter of the represented contour, we develop automatic contour image analysis software, which can be used for understanding and modeling the properties of extreme precipitation by region. © 2017 International Information Institute.
