Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of the school violence prevention program on the management performance of Taekwondo gym. To accomplish the purpose of this study, the following research methods were used. Taekwondo gymnasium in Seoul and Gyeonggi area was set as a population. And 3 Taekwondo gymnasiums that operate a school violence prevention program were selected as a sample of this study. Each Taekwondo gym manager participated in this study as an in – depth interview. The contents of the in – depth interviews were analyzed through expert consultation. Therefore, it is good enough to be used as a means of preventing school violence in our society. In addition, the program types of Taekwondo that are used as a prevention program for school violence are categorized as follows. First, self-help training for non-members and non-practitioners. Second, support for participating in the campaign to prevent school violence in the region. Third, the leader supports the school violence perpetrator and victim student counseling.The performance of the Taekwondo gymnasium through the school violence prevention program activities is as follows. First, raise the image of Taekwondo chapter of local residents. Second, inducement of continuous training through inspiration of students 'and parents' pride. Third, Taekwondo practitioners who are victims of school violence and victims. Fourth, strengthening ties with administrative agencies in the region. These results show the qualitative performance of Taekwondo gymnasium.
