Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in blood lipid, cardiorespiratory fitness, and muscle strength before and after the exercise of regular resistance, autonomic exercise, and 37 pre - menopausal middle - aged women living in area A in Seoul. After ensuring homogeneity of group, they were divided into regular resistance group and autonomous group. Throughout the study, it was found that regular resistance exercise and autonomous exercise for 12 weeks in obese middle-aged women can have a positive effect on body composition, fitness maintenance and improvement of blood lipid. Resistance exercise group program is considered to be an effective exercise program for reducing body fat percentage. After selecting appropriate exercise program for middle-aged obese women, regular and long-term exercise increases the muscle volume due to hypertrophy of muscle fiber.
