Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in body composition, blood pressure, blood lipids and blood glucose by applying the 12-week combined exercise to elderly women. For this purpose, two groups of exercise group and control group were applied two times a week for 60 minutes combined exercise program. In order to analyze the difference between before and after effect of twelve weeks of combined exercise, Two-way (2x2) RG · RM ANOVA using SPSS 23 program was applied. As a result, the conclusion is as follows. Elderly women who participated in the complex exercise using step box and elastic band for 12 weeks showed positive changes in skeletal muscle mass, body fat rate, blood pressure in systolic and diastolic blood pressure, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol and blood glucose. Overall, It is assumed that practicing combined exercise with a step boxes and the elastic bands can positive effects for maintaining and managing the health of senior citizens. Additionally, the elderly has limited physical activities these days via COVID-19, the step boxes and the elastic bands can contribute to the diversity of their exercise programs.
