Abstract
UHDTV allows to deliver higher quality contents to the audience. This improvement not only shows through a four times higher resolution but also through a higher dynamic range and wider color gamuts compared to HD[1]. Present UHDTV Cameras ship with various software tools to modify looks and look up tables to enhance the quality and creative possibilities for contents production[2]. On the other hand the new generation of UHDTV sets start to offer High Dynamic Range and wider gamuts[3]. Color Management is facing a new challenge in production as well as in post production. This article evaluates color management performance capabilities in commonly used tools in the professional UHDTV production and postproduction process. © 2015 International Information Institute.
