- Abstract
- The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of 24 weeks aquatic program on the physical fitness of children with intellectual disability. The subjects were 8 children with mild intellectual disability, training for 60 min, once a weak for 24 weeks. Pre and post were measured with body composition, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscle strength, muscular endurance and flexibility. Data was processed with SPSS 22.0 statistic program to calculate median and standard deviation. Also, t-test was processed to analyze pre-post difference. Every statistic level of significance was set .05. The result of this study showed no significance difference with body composition, muscle strength, muscular endurance and flexibility, but significance with cardiorespiratory endurance. Through this result, the aquatic programs positively affects on physical fitness of children with intellectual disability.
