교육대학원 체육교육전공 원생의 진로결정에 대한 탐색연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out what factors caused career decision-making changes for prospective graduates of the Graduate School of Education major in physical education. For the purpose of this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with seven prospective graduates of the Department of Physical Education at the Graduate School of Education of ○○ University located in Gyeonggi-do, Korea. As a result of this study, first, they all entered the program to be a physical education teacher even though most of them had an issue of tuition. But, still they understood the tuition was part of the program and that was necessary to invest for their future. Second, they were satisfied with the curriculum that provided during the years of the program. Some of them appealed that the courses were similar with undergraduate PE programs, but they felt that the discussion centered curriculum and literature review assignments were positive in terms of accumulating the knowledge of sport pedagogy research ares and teaching methods. Third, they mentioned a positive connection with all the students that would be a good motivation to study and expand their career in the future. Also, they asked for a study group that they can have time with other, but not all the students kept the first decision of being a teacher due to the difficulty of teacher employment exam.
