- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to provide information for the future development direction of Taekwondo Kyorugi and to be used as fundamental data for the future research. For the purpose of this study, from September 2000 to July 2022 a total of 122 researches were selected out of 429 Taekwondo Kyorugi researches appeared by entering “Kyorugi” as a keyword using the search system of Research Information Sharing Service (RISS). The results were as follows.
First, a total of 122 researches were published for about 23 years from September 2000 to July 2022.
By period, 2000-2003 (0 research; 0%), 2004-2007 (2 researches; 1.6%), 2008-2011 (20 researches; 16.4%), 2012-2015 (18 researches; 14.8%), 2016-2019 (48 researches; 39.3%), and 2020-2022 (34 researches; 27.9%) were published. Second, as a result of analyzing the research subjects by period, 83 researches (68.0%) for athletes, 12 researches (9.8%) for literature review, competition and mixed subjects 6 researches each (4.9%), 4 researches for coaches (3.3%), college students / General and referee 3 researches each (2.5%), under elementary school students and Taekwondo equipment 2 researches each (1.6%), and 1 other research (0.8%). Third, as a result of analyzing the research methods by period, 88 quantitative studies (72.1%), 32 qualitative studies (26.3%), and 2 mixed studies (1.6%) were conducted.
Fourth, as a result of analyzing the journals registered by period, The Korean Society of Sports Science had the most with 22 researches (18.0%), and the Journals of the Comprehensive Physical Education and the journals related to martial arts and Taekwondo showed a high frequency. However there was only one journal related to convergence, leisure, and growth development.
