- Abstract
- Photodetection of organic-inorganic hybrid heterostructures from visible to invisible ultraviolet and infrared rays is revisited with respect to their material properties aspect, device structure, and emerging applications. The approach of organic-inorganic hybrid heterostructures using two or more varied materials has been extensively attempted as the emergence of broadband photodetection covering multicolors as well as ultraviolet to infrared rays has ignited considerable interest in new applications. This review provides a timely overview of the scientific relationship between materials engineering and incident light properties, a systematic classification of representative material combinations, and a particular focus on each principle's insights. We also summarize recently-presented applications in organic-inorganic hybrid heterostructure-based photodetectors according to the target light wavelength.(c) 2023 The Author(s).
