Abstract
This study presents an intelligent CPTED concept that incorporates advanced crime prevention technology to improve the effectiveness of CPTED application in high-density low-rise residential areas where urban design approaches are difficult during urban regeneration projects. After selecting CPTED design elements and intelligent crime prevention technology for high-density low-rise residential areas, the final intelligent CPTED technology elements were derived by combining spatial design elements and technical elements convergence and complex. The urban control element suggested in this paper, an essential element for the implementation of an intelligent CPTED, is consolidated with futuristic technologies/services, such as a platform based on a control center, AI video analysis, a mobile app for residents, and 112 automatic connections, which then enables the scientific monitoring of areas requiring crime control or a whole city. In addition, in consideration of the actual practical use of intelligent CPTED technology elements, the application plan as an index and the system/service application plan of technology elements through cluster classification were presented together.
